Innocent inspires me

Why on earth do you want to work in an office today?  He asked me as I packed up my lap top.  The weather amazing, the Smalls at school – no freelancer in their right mind would have made this choice, I had to agree with him.

I can say that it gives me more vital energy. Buy xenical cheap! Each of these medications are Indian FDA approved and are internationally certified, so you know our products are safe.

But sometimes a change is a good as a break.  And anyway, I had been chatting to the lovely PR at Fruit Towers about a possible blog tie-up and…. well, one thing led to another and there I was skipping (literally skipping) off to West London to learn more about the fruit and veg crammed into Innocent smoothies, juices and pots.

Clemmie Marjorie Nettlefold.  As if named by Beatrix Potter, this is a PR who goes against the grain.  As many of you know, I’m well versed in PR having spent most of my career in an agency or in-house surrounded by publicists.  Clemmie was my hostess and a perfectly charming one at that.  On brand, on the ball, on form and yet OFF my case about how this post would actually take form. (phew! as I never really know myself until the moment I write it up.)

The Innocent offices, located at Portobello Dock (only separated by the water from Dock Kitchen), reflect the quirky, fun brand.  5 floors of an insane amount of breakout areas, table football and ping pong, a gym and all laced together with Cath Kidson-style bunting makes me coo like an over-excited freelancer.

At my desk I eavesdrop like mad.  I’m nosy and dying to know what they are planning:  Innocent Inspires… guest speakers… making your own smoothies…giving your verdict on the new ones… limited invitees… quirky venue… let me come! let me come! I plead.  Oh and let my readers have a chance to come too I add.

Ms Nettlefold fixes it all (with the help of Mrs Tiggywinkle of course).  The experiential marketing seminar (on 24th July) will focus on how to turn an idea into a business as we hear entrepreneurial stories straight from the horses’ mouths. I personally know of at least 4 of these speakers at this (one in a series of) Innocent Inspires event and they are – hand on heart – truly inspirational.

Innocent Inspires is a series of inspirational evenings tailor-made by Innocent. Book today to secure your place.

In case you are unlucky, 2 tickets are being set aside for my readers so let me know if you are keen to join in by tweeting @yablon as to what inspires YOU!  Personally I am inspired by clever, insightful brands….

Christmas come early @divertimenti

A hot sunny July morning and there I am hotfooting along to Divertimenti‘s Christmas Press Day at their Marylebone High Street shop.  I have a fabulous gay friend and whenever it’s his birthday, I head here – the kitchen shop of all kitchen shops.

Kept telling my husband how good these were. He finally tried them now he wants me to keep ordering for him too. Canada cialis generic. We fill thousands of online prescriptions everyday because our customers know that we offer unmatched value and the highest level of customer service delivered 24-7.

I wander around both floors imagining I am serving up a Mediterranean meal for 20 of my closest friends using their enormous, vibrant serving dishes and extra tall pepper grinders….and then I float out with a garlic crusher as a gift for that friend.

Yesterday I turned my mind (for the first time) to Christmas 2014.  And here is a selection of what I found:

today I met Swampy (creator of Phineas and Ferb)

My blog criteria is that every single post needs to reflect my life – in some way or other.  And, like it or not, Phineas and Ferb are in my life.   We have a Saturday ritual at Life of Yablon HQ which is called ‘Phineas & Ferb hour’.  It takes place after our family lunch has finished and involves the Smalls parking their bottoms on the sofa to enjoy 60 minutes of (almost) uninterrupted adventures of the animated stepbrothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher.  This hour allows us all to function: He can read the papers and I can write.  It sets us back to zero preventing any hair pulling or parental explosion.

Jeff 'Swampy' Marsh. a true inspiration.

Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh. a true inspiration with pen in hand!

Effictive and really good and can’t wait to have more. Buy cialis online prescription free? We would strongly recommend you to consult your doctor before taking a medication.

Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh is the creator and executive producer of our crucial hour of entertainment so I jumped at the chance to interview him earlier today at Soho Hotel, W1. But because I’m not a viewer myself, I asked the Smalls (and my Facebook feed) for some questions:

What initially inspired you to make the series? It all started with a middle aged man rant. Dan (Povenmire) and I were frustrated that kids of today play endless computer games instead of getting out there into the yard making ‘stuff’  – as we had done as young boys.

Why does Candace have a long neck?  Quite simply because it made us laugh!

How did Doctor Doofenshmirtz become evil? I’m not sure he is actually that evil.  He is really a sad guy looking for attention.

How many episodes have you created? More than 100…. I think something like 126!

How long does each episode take to draw/create? Each one takes around 8-10 months.  Every week we start a new one.

Will Candace and Jeremy ever get married? (by the way our Dad is called Jeremy)  We hope so.  (yes, I think they will but shhhhhh!)

Why doesn’t Ferb usually talk? Well, this is an interesting one; he does but only when he has something really important to say.

(Swampy answered my questions while drawing the pictures below for my Smalls.  Who said a man can’t multi-task?)

Here is my final question: IMG_3567 2 2 – Wi-Fi

Swampy was in town to promote the upcoming Mission Marvel special, which premieres on Disney XD this autumn. Mission Marvel will assemble characters from Phineas and Ferb and Marvel’s iconic Super Heroes: Spider-Man and The Avengers (Iron Man, Thor and Hulk). The television event marks the first crossover-animated television special for Marvel and Disney properties.

Great product and good special price. Cialis online order? Any trustworthy pharmacy will insist on a prescription from a health care provider who has seen you in person.

It’s all very well us doing a primitive sun dance around our unused BBQs this weekend but really there is a bigger problem to now concern our pretty little heads.  (i.e. applies to those of us who are pretty and NOT those who can carry off the same cargo Gap shorts year after year.)  You see, with very little need for fine summer togs, I have none.  Actually – that’s not entirely true – I have a smattering of cotton dresses and some grey vest tops that have seen many a better day.

And then I remembered textile designer Michelle and her notorious house sales. Last year, the ultimate connector (Twitter) had put me in touch with her.  Flicking a question about Velvet Tees into the twittersphere, @FrecklesSun had bounced back with a true gem.

I think they call it network marketing (Stella and Dot-ters would hang themselves with those hideous chains), as these house sales occur each season to the tune of Michelle’s friends of friends of friends rooting through slashed-priced rails of Not Shy, Just In Case, Samantha Sung, Butter by Nadia, Malene Berger, American Vintage and Anonymous while simultaneously diving head first into big bags of Velvet vest tops and dresses.
