Aguas Blancas would feature very high if I were to make a list of my most idyllic beaches in the world.
There is something about the steep decent on foot, the golden sand and dramatic rock face which makes me feel we are rediscovering a slice of heaven every time we visit. It’s also full of REAL islanders – with rarely a Brit in sight.
All four of us are fair skinned and burn easily so we don’t aim to get to the beach any earlier than 5pm.
This gives us all time to dip in the warm (and shallow) ocean, enjoy a snack and some sandcastle/reading activity before the sun sets behind the cliff at around 7pm.
And then, barefoot, we hike back up to the car. Sandy and happy.
