I have been asked a few times recently where in London is best to drink the black, hot, addictive liquid we call coffee. Sticking to my daily single dose of coffee is my only remaining addictive vice – so I am adamant it should be a good one.
The Italians and the French say that UK coffee is awful. For the most part, i agree but, as with most things in life, you just need to know where to find it.
Here are my top 5 favourite haunts:
Kaffeine, Great Titchfield Street
Jason’s Merito stall, Swiss Cottage market (Tues – Fri)
Ginger & White, Hampstead & BelsizePark
Department of Coffee and Social Affairs, Leather Lane
Flat White, Soho.
